Project case study
Build your own city on Buyan Island
Visitors sketch a ship, a tower house or a palace, and a neural network turns the drawing into an illustration that joins a growing fairy-tale city on a large LED screen.

The challenge
Let children and adults take part in the fairy tale themselves: draw something in a minute and see it become part of the world of the exhibition — beautiful even if the sketch is clumsy.
What Awake! delivered
The visitor draws on a round touch screen. Gemini turns the sketch into a finished illustration in the exhibition’s style, and the new building flies into the city panorama on the LED screen. Building types alternate after each session; up to seven objects live in the city at once — three ships, three tower houses and a palace — and the oldest gives way to the newest. One Unity application drives both screens. We tuned the generation on many real and deliberately “wrong” sketches so the result stays consistent.
Outcome
The city changes all day long: each visitor sees their own building take its place among the drawings of the people who came before.
